Professor Taku Fukui (Representative)

Background

Prof. Fukui was admitted to the Japan Bar in 1987, and concentrates on corporate, antitrust, commercial litigation, and insurance matters. He also has represented clients in multinational arbitration proceedings and trade regulation litigation. He taught a course on the Civil Code of Japan at Keio University Faculty of Law from 1995 to 2003 and, since 2004, has taught courses on Private Law and Procedure (I and II); Corporate Law and Business Transactions (BP and WP); Antitrust, Competition Law (BP and WP), etc., at Keio University Law School. He also served as an outside audit & supervisory board member of Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. from 2005 to 2021, as a supervisory officer of Heiwa Real Estate Reit, Inc. from 2011 to 2017, and as an outside board member of Yamaha Corp. from 2017 to 2023.
